I just ordered the Model 10 Savage bolt action in 7mm-08 and will be planing to work up some hand loads in the near future. To get a head start I thought I'd ask reloaders what there favorite recipies for this caliber are. I'll be using the gun for deer, coyotes, and plinking so would like a nice all around load. I've also got a set of Lee's dies for a 7 mm remington mag. Any chance this could be used for the 7mm-08? Thanks for the advice.

No. Totally different sized cases.

For a 120 gr load I use H4350@50c grs.and Varget@45 grs.both shoot very good groups in my rem classic
For 140 gr load I use IMR [email protected] grs.

For deer,Hornady 139gr.,41.3 of IMR 4064,shoots great in all of the 7mm-08's I reload for...
