?'s on Lasercast bullets
#1
I have purchased some 45 cal. 250 gr. roundnose lazzercast bullets to shoot in my .454 casull. Now I know that these bullets were desgined for .45 long colt speeds. But I want it for a fun light plinking load that I, and my family can shoot. I can't find any reloading data on these bullets. I like using hodgen H110 powder and winchester primers. My questions are to start off, what should my starting load be? What is the fastest I should push them? And also how bad does this bullet lead the barrel? Lasercast bullets "the company" claims they don't lead the barrel even at high speeds that casull can produce, but I have a hard time believing that? Any help appreciated.

just load them in 45 long colt cases you can shoot 45 long colts out of a gun chambered for 454 casull. usually cast lead without a gas check you dont want to push any faster then 1000 fps if they are gas checked then push them as fast as you want to. asfar as load data, load them as cast lead if you are worried about it then start with a minimum start charge which is usually 10% less the maximum. good luck

Idahoe, call their number and ask for some reload data to be mailed to you. I had to do it like 3 times before they finally did. I have found they do lead alot when shot at high speeds.
For my 44 mag, I was shooting 240gr and 23gr of H110. Accuracy was bad, and leading was bad. Just not meant I believe to be shot at 1500fps. I now only shoot 11.5gr of Unique with them. Thinking of changing to bullseye, since unique in a 44 is so dirty.
I don't know about this company. They make good bullets but support is horrible. They got this lady that is impossible to get around on the phone, and I don't think has ever reloaded the first bullet. I asked about hardness level, cause I was thinking of hunting with these bullets, and couldn't get a straight answer.
