I am very new to M/L, I have only shot round balls. I want to try bullets for a change, I have Hornady Great Plains lead bullets. Do I need to put a patch between my powder cgarge and my bullet?

On the big lead conicals you do not patch the conical, only lube. Some people do put a bore button or wonder wad between the powder charge and the conical. The rule of thumb is if the conical has a flat base the you can wonder wad it. It the conical has a hollow base then do not wonder wad it....
