Hi guys. I am just trying to get started in rifle reloading, I'm wondering what else I need to get going. I have a RCBS Jr. 2 press, Lee dies for the caliber I want to reload, Lee powder measure kit, Hornady scale, RCBS powder trickle, Lyman 55 powder measure, and a RCBS caliper guage, all of which I picked up at a farm auction for under $60.00. What other equipment might I need, and was the stuff I bought a good deal.

A good reloading manual. Speer has a really good one. And case lube, gotta have case lube. I use the spray on kind from Dillon Precision. The only other hting i could think of to make your life easier would be loading blocks to put cartridges in.

A primer pocket cleaner, hand priming tool, shell holder for the caliber your shooting, (they make a universal kit that has almost every size you will need in it ), and like longrifle1000 said, reloading manual especially by the manufacturer of the bullets you will be loading, Lymans 48th edition also would be helpful, has a great section in front for beginners, (I read it twice before i started this past winter). And one thing i learned very early, when lubing your cases like longrifle1000 said make sure you only lube the bottom 2/3 s of your casing, (from the rim up) I kept getting a dimple in mine when i started cause I put too much on!

All of the major reloading manuals contain high quality educational info to help you, i am a big fan of the nosler books but use sierra, hornady, barnes, speer, lyman, etc.
