Does anyone know where I might pick up some of the old 190gr. winchester silvertips for my .303? I understand that they are few and far between, but there is nothing like them as far as I know. The only thing I can think of to try for expantion at low volocity would be Speer 180gr, Mag-Tips. Any idias? thanks for your help. matt700.

Silver tips are hard to find period in any caliber if anyone knows where I can find them in .308 cal. 150 grainers. It would be appreciated. Asfar as the .311 caliber for .303 I would try the sierra 180 grain spt pro hunter. Its what I had to do I ended up switching to sierra bullets.

I just looked on www.midwayusa.com seems like the only bullet closest to a silver tip winchester still offers is the power point.

The .303 Savage is NOT a .311" like the .303 British. It uses standard .308" bullets...... It is nothing but a .30/30 with a fatter rear end on the case!
