I want to help my wife work up a .280 load for her elk hunt this fall. I was given some used .280 Hornady new dimension custom-grade dies. My quuestion is this I bought a RCBS 03 shell holder for the .280 are the two compatible? I was planning to buy RCBS dies before I was given the Hornady dies which are in good condition.

Yes, the two components are compatable. It does not matter what brands you use, as long as your shell holder fits into the press. Most are universal, but some older presses require different ones.
