Default Partition FP?

Does any one know if Nosler offers their Partition bullet in a flat point for reloaders with tubular magazines? Specifcally for the 30-30. I know Winchester offers it in factory loaded ammo but I haven' t bought a box of factory ammo since I started reloading. Besides the best groups I gould get with factory ammo was about 2-2.5 inches at 100 yards. I cut that in half with handloads. I plan on hunting black bear next year and would like to try this bullet. Nosler doesn' t list it on their website. If not then I may just have to buy another gun. Wouldn' t that be a shame. HEHEHE

Power point, corelokt and federal 170 grain bullets loaded in a .30-30 (as well as Hornady' s 170 Gr flat point inter lock bullets are all extrtemely reliable at .30-30 velocities and (while I don' t believe there' s a partician availabe in this style) I seriously you' ve be better off with the Nosler even if it was available.

If you insist on shooting Nosler particians, find a .308 carbine bolt action and load some Particians in that. There' ll be a significant difference!!!

They make a 170 roundnose Partition jacket bullet specifically for the .30/30 and tubular magazines. It is NOT a flat-nose, but it is very blunt and apparently O.K. for a tubular magazine. I' d think it would be even better for the .356 Win. in the M94 Winchester or Marlin 336.
