Has anyone shot paper patched bullets out of their .45-70? I was tinkering with it using 500 gr bullets but wasn't getting very good accuracy. But better than the same bullet with just lube on it. I resized them down to .451" then wrapped with linen paper. Finish dia was then brought up to .458".
I think I just may try it out with some 340 gr bullets I had just cast. Going to be a while before I load and shoot them but looking for some input.
