New England trigger

I have a great little rifle. A New England Firearms .223 bull barrel. This rifle shoots half inch groups off of sand bags. I really like it for crow, and predators.
Only problem. The trigger pulls like a wisdom tooth! [:' (]
Has anyone out there ever tried to give one a better trigger feel?

NEF will fix the trigger. Politely return it to them and ask for a trigger job...they include that as a standard with a second barrel.

I have an NEF 280. The trigger is right at 9 lbs. It takes a hell of a finger tip to pull a 9 lb trigger. She is going back for the free trigger job and maybe a 32 inch 45-70 barrel. My NEF 223 have a great trigger and shoots 1/2 inch at 100 yds. I bought it used so it may have already had a trigger job. Its a synthetic stocked one. LOVE IT BIG TIME. My wife loves to shoot this one as well. She loves to shoot but hates recoil. She shoots a 700 Remington in 250-3000 for deer. A fine deer stopper with nearly no recoil. I used to do a lot of gun trading but she told me in no uncertain terms that if she ever went to the gun safe for her 250, IT better be there.:D

WOW, they actually fix the trigger for free? DO I return the whole rifle, or just the action?

Sounds like you' ve seen this. Did you try it? I' m just wondering what they do at the factory. Do you think they just replace the whole assembly?
