The factory is doing something besides oiling it. I have had several people tell me that they sent their rifle' s action to NEF, and it is returned with a much better trigger. Like from, 9 pounds to 3 1/2 pounds. No charge except shipping.

I sent mine back to H&R and let them handle it but if you feel like tackling the job yourself and feel confident and safe doing it then try this link. Scroll down until you see handi-rifle trigger work part 1 & 2. Hope this helps.

The factory can take them down to 3 1/2 lbs. You cand bend the hammer spring a little to releave the tension and they either cut the trigger return spring or replace it with a weaker one. I have seen some that they did. Nice Man Nice.
