Default Loading for my Rem Model 7, .308

Hey,
I bought a Remington model 7, a few years back, tried reloading with IMR 4064 powder, and useing Accubond 165 gr. spitzer bullets (not real impressed). Was thinking maybe withe the barrel being as short as it is, and the IMR 4064 being at the slower burning end of the powder chart. I should get maybe IMR 4895 or the faster burning yet, BLC-2 Hodgdon powder. what do you guys think. does it make sense, that the short barreled rifle would do better with faster burning powder.

Thanks, Steve

IMR 4895 is my go to powder for all of my 308's and several other calibers. It's one of my all time favorite powders. I have also had good results with H4831sc in the 308.
