Default Setting up OAL of bullet....have issues

So Here is what I have.

This is for my Winchester Model 70 300 Win Mag rifle.

I have used a dummy load to determine the o-give to land dimension and then set the bullet back .050" as specified by Barnes on the TTSX bullets. I have determined overall length is 3.650".

Problem I am running into is that the magazine area, only allows for 3.380" of length. That is only .040" longer than minimum overall length stated in my reloading manuals.

what am I missing?

That's just something you have to live with when reloading. Seat them deeper until they fit the magazine and hope your accuracy is there when you go to the range.
