Here are the bullets and the powder I already have. I know there are probably better combinations but I am working with what I already have on hand. Also, this is for coyotes.

87 grain Hornady BTHPs
IMR 4895

Could I also get the OAL? If it makes any difference, I am shooting a Savage 110.

I would say your best bet would be to buy a Hornady loading manual and that will give you all the information that you are wanting/needing. You will then have more options for other load combinations you may wish to try later.

One of my books show starting charge 34.0 and max charge 36.5 for 4895 and a 90gr bullet.
I establish overall length by making a dummy round (no pwdr/primer). Start with the bullet seated pretty far out. Mark the bullet up with a sharpie. Attempt to chamber it. Continue seating the bullet deeper until it chambers, with just a slight marking on the bullet from the rifling. You will probably get the dummy stuck a few times before you get the length right, so have a cleaning rod handy to pop it out between length changes. Record the length and proceed to work up your powder charge.

I have had great luck with IMR 4895 in a couple of my 243's...but I don't load any 87g bullets...have loaded 100g Nosler Partitions pushed with 34g of IMR 4895 and 55g Nosler Ballistic Tips with 43g of IMR 4895. For an 80g Hornady FMJ I loaded for my brother to use in Alaska for trapping and fur bearing I had the best of luck with 38g of IMR 4064. I know I loaded some 90g Nosler Ballistic tips but for some reason I can't find the load data I used (I know it was IMR 4895)...the Nosler Book showes a range of 33g - 37g for a 90g bullet.

I've owned several .243's over the years, and most of them have liked the 85 gr. Sierra HPBT on top of a healthy charge of IMR 4350. Bullets at .020 off lands.... I've never had great luck with the Hornady 87 gr. in .243..
