Some guys at the range and me are trying to find reloading info for the .405 Win. Some of them are considering the Ruger#1 so if anybody has a #1 in .405 win any knowledge on that would be helpful too.

You may want to check some back issues of Rifle and Handloader magazine at their site...one of them has load data on the 405

Go look at Steve' s Page-He has data for the 300 grain bullet. However, it seems to me that the .405 needs heavier bullets to be a true dangerous game round. The SD of the 300-grainer is too low for deep penetration on heavy animals!!
