Don't forget about trying good ole' H-4350... seems always to be a great shooter for me and is pretty clean burning...
Could try it. I have some just sitting here waiting to be used...

Hey trailer....is that 260 getting dust on it??....
Yep, has a small amount of dust on it for now. This little guy has been sitting dormant waiting for my McMillan edge stock to come in and that should be by the end of the month, I hope. Once that stock is here it will be a different story. My Sako 260 Rem. will be my choice of rifle this year as my walkabout rifle and my 7 mm R.M. will be my long distance rifle used in my tower...

............OK......Just wanted to check........

Never loade the TSX bullet but i have been usin 64 and 1/2 grains of IMR 4350 under a 140gr sierra gameking for years and its a very accurate and killing load for me.Get about 3150fps through my chrono and 3 shot groups touching at 100 yards.Killed alot of deer and hogs with it and it drops em in their tracks. Also experimented with some IMR 4895 that my buddy gave me and it shoots exactly the same with 56 grains same bullet impact and velocity as my pet load.

Thanks for the info but I’m trying to stay away from bullets with a lead core. I came across an article a while back that had done a study on leaded bullets and on how bullets fragmented on game. I didn’t like what I saw as for lead contamination in the meat surrounding the impact location so I’m trying to stay away from any bullets containing lead and use solid copper bullets...

71.5 grains of H4831 works very well in my Ruger No. 1B with 140-grain buillets. MV 3350 FPS, 1/2 MOA accuracy.

I talked to you a while back about this load and decided to give H4831 a go. My 700 lovesit but hits it's limit @ 69grs for 3200fps. H1000 and Retumbo give me just over 3300. Just goes to show every tube is different.
