I am shooting 30gr of BL-C(2) with 32gr nosler BT, with sub .5MOA results. Thats with a Remington benchrest primer. Also holds together little better than the hornady 32gr. So I like it on coyotes.

I don't know how you can expect to take one man's rifle "pet" load and expect it to be a good load in your rifle too since his rifle isn't your rifle!! In other words, does his rifle have the same length of barrel, same rate of twist, etc.? Is his load touching the lands, or not? What's his COAL? What type of rifle is bigcountry loading for? Is it even the same as what you're wanting to load for? What good is a load without knowing all of that?
If and when handloading, the quickest way to find an accurate load for YOUR rifle is to start at the minimum suggested load and work your way up to the max. suggested load. There are no short cuts!! |

chuck, since the min to max loads for the 204 is so short i suggest starting at the middle of the loads and working up toward max in tenths of grains of powder. load about 5 of each loads and keep them seperated and marked in a sandwich bag. also mark targets for each load and head for the range. fire these off sandbags without moving the scope and see which load gives the best groups. the load that gives the best group is the one you want to use. good luck with your rifle. also you might want to try different bullets and powders using the same process.

come on guys, take it easy on the fella. Probably just wanting to get some ideas before purchasing some components.
I have always stood by one persons load may not be great in another mans gun. But someone brought it to my attention that federal match and black hills match shoots well in about every gun shot. And from what I have seen, they are right. So there is probably some good dynamic loads out there. |

35 grain berger HP, 28 gr.4895, fed 205M primer. trimmed to 1.84.OAL 2.24. very accurate.

thanks big country for the comment,have shot all my life.not a beginner,only with this caliber,only looking for components,and starting point,i know that no two guns will shoot the same load,accurate,glad somebody has some sence around here,hey you got them know it alls everywhere,we just gotta learn to deal with them and excuse them,thanks again for load info,chuckell,
