Hello all, I recently purchased a savage model 99 in .308 and want to start loading for it. I have done a fair bit of reloading but it has been limited to the 30-06 and .45/70. I plan on using Hodgon Varget and have alot of WIN LR primers on hand my only concern is these may be a little hot for varget. Any other suggestions for primers and if anyone has used these on a .308 I would appreciate some feedback?

I'd use them, but if they were not the primer listed in the manual I was loading from I,d reduce the starting charge by a grain or two and work up as usual.
