Ok maybe just a top 20 . You know it only takes about .5 seconds to realize that you forgot
yourhearing protection after the trigger breaks .
My ears ring all the time any how but much worse now .
I sure hope thiswasn't the camel straw after a recless youthof unprotected trap
shooting, chainsaws, race cars, and rock n roll .
To me at the moment seems as bad as shooting my truck .

That sucks. It happened to me a few years ago when fire forming some brass for my 7-30 Waters T/C Contender with a muzzlebrake. Good Lord that was loud.
I'm in the same boat as you. My hearing has gone downhill fast and probably for the same reasons you mentioned (except R&R). Thank God my eyes are still sharp.

Did it myself just this weekend. I was at the range with my son. I was shooting my Contender in 45-70 with a muzzle brake. He had asked me something and i had popped one side of my muffs off to understand him. Needless to say, that after runnin my yap. I had forgoten what i did. I let fly with a 405gr HP out of that beast. I've had my ears ring before. But never did it hurt like that.
