RE: Cleaning Flashole
I do it because it can't hurt and only takes a few seconds I did get a couple of big chunks of flash out of some brass one time so I keep doing it. Lately I have been buying Lapua brass. It is drilled, not punched so it doesn't need to be deburred.
We handload to control consistency so it's just one more thing to ensure that you are getting the best you can get out of your ammo.

RE: Cleaning Flashole
I bought a Lyman tool for this last fall. It sure cleans up the hole nice, and does deburr. Like most everyone else, I can't say I've noticed any improvement in accuracy, although I'm sure it can't hurt. Yes, every little bit helps, IMO.

RE: Cleaning Flashole
As I just mentioned in another thread,I just deburred 500 new rifle cases this afternoon. After this thread reminded me I had this tool, I figured I should use it. Haha. Then I looked down inside some bulk 45 unfired brass and discovered to my horror that there is really nothing to deburr? I won't be using this tool again.............ever.[:@]
