I was interested in reloading shotgun 12g shells with some less than everyday items. When you go to gun shows you see lots of interesting and many useless 12g ammunition but they are usually kinda pricey, at least my way anyway.

So what are your thoughts on:
flechettes
lock buster rounds
Flare
fin stablized slugs
star burst
dragonbreath
bolo shot
less lethal alternatives


most would be for fun but some others might end up in a survival kit or who knows...

so the questionS i have are:

Have any of you tried making these?
How safe/reckless is it?
How would you go about making them? (different from regular shot?)
What ofter exotic 12g ammo ideas do you guys have?
