My most consistent I have seen is 94gr of H1000 with 180gr accubond, or I use a nosler partition. I gave this out to a few people and its also been thier goto load. Its not insanely fast however, at only 3200fps or less.

Yea, I mostly shot 180gr. I had a very accurate 190gr matchking load I shot with retumbo. I had some 200gr loads, but liked the flat shooting 180gr loads.

If you want i can look up all my loads I worked up. I played around with the 300RUM for3 years and went thru 3 of them. I shot 150gr ballistic tips, 165gr ballistic tips, 165gr TSX, 180gr grand slams, 180gr partitions, 180gr accubonds, 180gr TSX, 180gr scirrocos, 190gr matchkings, 200gr matchkings, 200gr accubonds, and 200gr partitions. I tried several combos with IMR4350, IMR7828, H4831sc, RL22, RL25, H1000, and Norma MRP.

I mostly like to play with these guns, and shoot long range.

We shoot the 200 grain Sierra hunting bullet in the three 300RUM's I load for. We use RL25 powder. I will not list the grains, because we load them HOT. The cartridge is devastating on any game animal we shoot. When guy's want to argue about killing ability of cartridge's, I would like for them to personally witness what this cartridge is capable of. They would throw the sub 25's over the hill.

I am going to try a pound of Retumbo in January, but I do not think I can improve the performance of RL25. Tom.

Two model 700s that I load for love 95 gr. RL25 behind 180 gr. Nosler BT. Chronographs 3300 fps from 26 in. bbl.

Most accurate load I have found for them.

Does the 300 RUM killanimals deader than the 308 Win? My 300 Weatherby didn't.Of course its a toy compared to the RUM.
