Guess you told me--Ok,so what if I had told you that I am shooting 1500
yards with my 45-70 sharps, with black powder and a 537 grain cast
bullet..And using a vineer rear sight with an adjustable eye cap..And a front
appeture with a .100 hole in it,using a spirit level attached to the barrel..
And hitting the target..

I'd call you Quigley, because that only happens in the movies.

You didn't answer any of the long range questions either...

Well if you would take to time and effort to learn instead of shooting
your mouth off,you would know the answers already..And the .110
shim under the rear base will give you plenty of elevation..And I never said that I was
using the v max bullets at that range..And if you don't think the black powder will
reach out there either, read some of Paul Matthews books or Talk to the guys at
Buffalo Arms-Wayne Venturrino-Fred Cornel-I could name several that are capable
of doing some amazing things with a rifle..

I want to thank you all for you well written words
of knowledge..If I had half of what you do I could
write pages and pages full and make a few bucks..
But it would all be worthless as others like you
will come along..Some people want to learn from
others, but you are afraid to let them so you
spen all your time putting people down..Are you
afraid to learn or just to lazy..Take the energy
you use to run you lips and put it behind a rifle butt..
And the BSA SCOPES are a damn good scope..I
see lots of them on rifles at Bodine..
And another thing,if you have too much power
and the sun is shining, you will have to learn how
to read the mirage in order to hit the target every
time..Even with open sights you have to watch the
wind as well as mirage...You will notice the target
is doing some wierd things out there..

Johnny2......I once talked to a guy in a gun store who shot an elk at 700 yds. with a 50 mph. crosswind. And that wasn't the first time, either. Could you be his son??

[blockquote]Never said what rifle I was using..If you look back it might say something about
being a different rifle...And as far as the stents go,that has nothing to do
with shooting..Damn you ARE dumb Now maybe with a pace maker you would
be right..You can get a detatched retina with the high power..

And if you knew has much as you talk that black powder cartridge rifle have a less
recoil in a 45-70..Now if you said a 45-120 or something in that order you might be
right again..But you are so stuipd, you can never learn..

And you can shim a scope..Have you ever heard of lapping the scope rings? Probably
not..You are like alot of other guys I know,,They read alot and talk alot, but never
do much shooting..Hell,I shot 31 lbs of Goex 2F last year...And I don't care if you
believe it or not..You are just trying to impress other huys on here,by calling
someone else a liar or a dummy..I wish you lived around here,I would like to see
just HOW much you really know..I will pray for you tonight....If there is any hope
for a dumb ass such as yourself...Steve Garbe can tell you all about it...And I have shot
right along side of Paul Matthews,Jerry Matalavage-Marvin mussleman...I aint
afraid to play with the big boys and thier toys..

In the last three pages the standing are something like

Pro-johnny =1 (himself)
Anti-johnny=5
with two being neutral and saying that its good for CLOSE RANGE...so they're still not agreeing with you.

Who's "trying to impress" who?

WHAT THE HECK does a pacemaker and your retina have to with each other?

This thread has become amusement to all of us who want to see just how much "blap" you can spout off. You're not old enough to have a pacemaker anyway. Men of that generation use complete sentences and an entirely different voice/vocabulary.

Well, Johnny2, if you think you're gonna come on here and try to BS us with your drivel, you best find another place to land. You argue with RR and the rest of us over the most basic language of shooting. You have little or no serious knowledge of loading and ballistics.
I personally feel you are a detriment to our sport and will ignore your posts in the future. You are someone to be ignored.

As has been mentioned, perhaps you should go to a forum where the people actually know more than you do if you are going to ask questions.

So you shot 31 lbs of black powder last year. I'm a little confused. Are you trying to impress people with your expertise or ask stupid questions?

I find it curious that such an expert as yourself would even ask such a stupid question as what bullet to use in a .22-250 for deer. Everyone knows that the new Varmint Grenade is where it is at, at least for this side of 1000 yds.
