Default RE: .257 caliber

I have loaded 110gr B-Tips for my dad's 25-06 and they worked great. Killed buck and doe in one season. Both at a dead run at about 75yds. Neither ran more than 50yds. after taking one of these through the ribs. No exp. with the WBY, but I would think it might be a little fast for the B-Tip. The 120 partition would be my first one to try. I looked at load data.com for 120gr part. loads in the 257 wby. 59gr IMR-4350 3090fps accurate. 64gr IMR 4831 3259fps max load. 65gr Accurate XMR 3100 for 3182fps. 67gr IMR 7828 for 3312fps accurate. 74gr Hodgden H-870 for 3157fps accurate. Test gun had 26" Lilja bbl. with 1-10" twist. Fed. 215 primers used for all loads. Max overall cartridge length was 3.25". Hope this helps.
