I've been loading the 6.5x55 in M96s since 1984 ,and in my quest for optimum accuracy with Nosler 140 gr. partitions nothing beats H4831. It appears that most M96s I have loaded for tend to shoot their best with loads approaching the maximum suggested loads in the manuals. I'm not implying that you start off loading max loads. Use common sense and work your load up cautiously . Good hunting and good luck .
