Default Taking out military crimp

Whats the best tool out there that affordable for reloading XM193 brass? Talking about the primer crimp. I guess RCBS swaging tool is one option. I saw some aweful expensive sinclair crimp removal tools.

I agree. I have done it with the deburring tool but thats a slow process.

assuming you sucessfully deprimed them, I use a nice sharp 1/4" drill bit and with my drill ever so lightly pressing the trigger I carefully shave the crimp away.

So from the looks of it, the RCBS swager does not cut the crimp away, but presses it? So its not like a reamer? You just put in your press and push the ram up?

Thanks,

Here i justchuck the de-burring tool inmy slow drill press and hold the cases in my hand while the drill press does the work. Takes aboutthree seconds to do the job on each case. Have had good luck with my M193 cases. Bestcases i have found areLC and TW.

A deburring tool works great and is cheap. Buy a cheap Lee and find a way to chuck it in a drill and go to town. I have a RCBS Trim Mate Case Prep Centerhttp://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...eitemid=565099that has the debur, chamfer, primer pocket cleaner attachments on it that I use, but before then, the Lee tool worked fine.

#40, deburring is different than removing a crimp I believe.

Yes, you are correct. But the deburring tool will remove the primer crimp.
