In checking the Hodgdon site I see in the CAS section that HP-38 looks like a good powder for all bullet weights. Anyone tried that one or have a better powder? To start with I have 250 grain Hornady LFP's. I also have a box of 250 grain XTP's.
I am shooting them in my new 45 LC H&R Buffalo Classic. I just picked it up the other day. I picked up a box of Remington factory loaded cast bullet ammo and a box of Ultra-Max Cowboy Action loads. I am just looking for fun plinking loads for now as my wife fell in love with the little rifle. Later I will load some XTP's up near the Max Ruger loads.

Fill the case full with Triple7 so it will compress a little when the bullet is seated and have fun! Dad shoots all Black Powder, 777, and recently he's been using some of the Goex black powder as well with good success.
I've used trailboss in my 38sp loads but it didnt seem to like my Dillon 550 powder bar and I couldnt get it to drop a consistent charge. 2-5 light charges in 100, just seemed like an awful bad for consistent powder charges.
