WSM Loads

RE: WSM Loads
I reloaded my .270 WSM with IMR4831 with excellent results. It shot sub MOA groups from 65 to 66.5 grains of powder. I loaded 1/2 grain increments
I also use the Retumbo for my 7mmRUM, 97.5 grains shoots well. AR25 produced the highest velocity and MagPro produced the lowest of the three powders I tested. I ended up going with the Retumbo and a Barnes TSX in 140 gr. bullet.

RE: WSM Loads
I use magpro almost exclusively and it is really accurate out of my 7mm WSM. I cant really speak for the velocity of it just yet. But when I tried H4350 is didnt produce groups worth a dern

H-4350....I've either tried or had a friend that tried just about everything that should work in 300 WSM's, 300 SAUM's, 7mm WSM's and 7mm SAUM's and nothing works better than H-4350, save yourself some time and money and just head in that direction..also fuel it with Remington 9 1/2 mag primers..hard to beat..

RE: WSM Loads
I believe Retumbo as well as RL25 was created for the Ultra Mag's, not the Short Mag's. IMO it is too slow for the Short Mag's. If I were you I would try RL 22, or 4831. Again IMO, the tradtional good powder's for the Standard Winchester Magnum's will perform well in the Short Mags. Tom.
