I reckon there ain't much rifling groovesleft to analyzeon a 50 gr hollowpoint going out the barrel at 3800fps either; once it hits anything they tend to all but vaporize. They dont seem too concerned about shotgun slugs, do they?

i figure you can get better accuracy just buy using a reel light bullet.i heard those accelerators are very expensive and unaccurate.

You can get the sabots for .308 and other cart. as well through http://eabco.comthey also sell the seating dies and everything you need to load them. I'm interested in giving them a try as well but I wonder if it would damage your barrel or not. I'm assuming that it would be okay except for the plastic fouling. Anyone got any expierence with that?

plastic is easier to remove than lead.
it's not like they cost a ton either
