300 RUM
Looking at getting a 300 ultra in an SPS M700, and just wanted to know if people are really getting the velocities shown by some of the powder/bullet companys. (150gr-3500fps, 165gr-3400fps, 180gr-3250fps, 200gr-3000fps) reloader's nest even show one load w/ a 165gr bt being driven 3670fps by 96grs of rel22. Sounds way too good to be true. I know all rifles shoot different, but just wanted to know what you guys were getting. Thanks, Brett

RE: 300 RUM
99.2 of Retumbo chrono's 3300 with a 180 Partion in mine. It shoots so well Its the only load I use. I did chrono 180 Accubonds with Retumbo too. I started low and worked up no sign of pressure when I reached 99.2 I chrono'd it 3400+ I'm sure that was over pressure. To get them to shoot good I had to seat them out so far they wouldn't fit in the magizine. When I shortened them up so they would fit they didn't shoot so good. Now I just have the one load. good hunting KH
