DM, How do you like that 221 Fireball for reloading and shooting? I had considered getting a new rifle chambered for the 221 Fireball but was really concern about the availability of brass so ended up with the 222 instead...

I "think" it was in the 70's when i got my first Rem. XP100 in Fireball... I've had a few of them over the years and they shoot just like you'd think they would!! At the time, bench rest shooters would buy them and rob the actions to build BR rifles out of.

Then i remember haveing two ?? TC Contenders in Fireball...

Anyway, i haven't loaded or fired a Fireball in a long time now, as my father gave his Contender in Fireball away to my brother some time ago...

Anyway, i like the 222 Rem. better too, but the 221 loads and shoots very nice and is very accurate....

I only load for a 44 mag handgun once in awhile for a buddy, but load for several rifles,
223
22/250
260
25/06
270
270wsm
30/06
300wsm
7/08
7mm
243
probably left a couple out my think isn't that good any more.I am at the range one to three days a week.If I didn't reload I couldn't afford to shoot.
The most fun I get out of shooting is when there are several shooters there and I get out the 50 cal savage and shoot it at 300 yds.You should see some of the reactions, last time a fellow wanted the target to take home and show his wife,I guess he was wanting her approvel to get him one. Some ask what am I shooting and I say a muzzleloader and they scratch their head and walk off,and again I get some that want me to shoot their rifles now I like that, have got to shoot some cheap cva's to somehigh price customs.
Hope I have not given the impression that I am a whiz of a shooter, that I am not I am just a plain old john doe that has been shooting since I was in diappers back in the 40's sometimes I get lucky and get a few good groups.sometimes they are terrible,I just get a lot of practice.

Thanks for the info. I just thought the 221 would have been a nice little cartridge to shoot. Not much powder required and better to reload then the 22 Hornet. I better get cracking and sight in my 222 or that rifle is just going to rust away on me...

I don't have near the list as many of you guys, but Ill chime in anyway.

223
243
270WSM
7mm Rem Mag
300 Sav
308
30-06

I load for a few of my buddies, but I made a rule after a few years of doing it. I make the buddy bring in his gun, and his body, and then I make him help me during the process. I really don't like "wasting" my time loading ammo that I can't shoot, so I got them all trained to where I usually sit back and sip on a beer and just supervise anymore.
