Dan....Are you getting those groups CONSISTANTLY? If you are, congratulations!! My Swift would do that same thing, and then would open the repeat loadings up to 3/4 to 1". Probably what started my love-hate relationship with Jack Daniels. Maybe I'll dig it out of the back of the safe, and see what your combo does in it. Thanks.......

Yes ,I wish I could find my digital camara then I could show you my targets. It took a long time to find that load for it. They are about 4100 fps if that gives you anymore info. I almost feel like alittle kid just cant wait to shoot it agin !!!!

i know the feeling, when i hit that perfect load for my 22-250. just the 22-250 also being a barrel burner i use a 55 grain pill hoping to add a little more life to the guns barrel. those 40 grainers i know have a serious explosive effect on varmint at that velocity but its still not enough to temp me. but my load isnt exactly slow either pushes thay 55 grain v-max at just under 3700 fps on my chrono i get 3,685 fps to 3,695 fps readings.

If you use a "Harvey Donaldson" type grease wad on top of the powder charge in a Swift or .22/250, the barrels will last a lot longer!

I got this same bullet to shoot well out of my 700 Classic .220 Swift. However, the expansion was pretty violent for larger varmints. Shot a couple of coyotes and the bullets were blowing up in the hide on the entrance side. Great for prairie dogs and crows, though.
