With 180 grain bullets, IMR 7828 is definitely a good powder touse. I've used several different 180 grain bullets in my Sako 75 .300 Wby (soon to be a .300 Win mag with a Lilja barrel) and the only one I couldn't get to shoot well with 7828 was the Northfork. But then again, the Northfork didn't work wellwith anything else either in my rifle.H4831sc isa good powder for this cartridge too. You should also consider using RL22, RL25and H1000. From memory here are some loads that have worked very well for me.

84 grs. IMR 7828
180 gr. bullet (as mentioned, pick just about any one you want)
Norma brass
Fed 215M
Velocity runs about 3200+ fps

87 grs. H1000
165 gr. Hornady SST
Norma brass
Fed 215M
OAL 3.65"
Velocity about 3,050 fps (not a maximum load by any means, but absolutely the most accurate in my rifle with groups consistently in the .3 to .6" range.)

84 grs. RL22
165 gr. Barnes TSX
Norma brass
Fed 215M
Velocity around 3300+ fps and very accurate

As always work up to these loads from below. Also, if you're using brass other than Norma you may not be able to use as much powder as I did in the first and last loads mentioned above. Norma brass is not as thick as most other brands and therefore has a little bit more internal volume to work with.

Use Norma MRP or MRP II it is the best preforming powder for Weatherby calibers. Norma will be availiable once again in summer. Good luck.

Best load I have is the 165 gr Sierra HP Gameking with 80 gr IMR 4831 pushing it. Very accurate in my rifle out to 300+ yards.
