are using the same magnification at both ranges?? i found that the smaller a target appears in a scope for some reason the groups are smaller for example when i shoot at 100 yards with the scope on 10x and then switch down to 4x my groups shrink i dont understand this it kinda make sense sorta. lol

High Desert Wolf,

Anytime you want to come and shoot with me, you are very welcome. I am so glad that I visit a site where you will be drug through the mud for doing something well.

The gun is a tricked out Remington 700 Sendero chambered in 7mm RUM. This is not just a STANDARD bench gun. But I am sorry that I offended you by being able to shoot very well. I will try to do worst next time. I shoot three and four times a week when I get the opportunity and I shoot with guys that have custom match guns and yes, when the load is right for my rifle I can shoot with them all day long.

It amazes me that you can come to this site and ask for help on problems that you are having with your rifles, keep working on the problem until you are satisfied, then come back to the site and tell everyone thanks for the help and that you are excited about what you did at the range with the guns, then get criticized and basically called a liar. Next I wont bother.

sorry i assume to much i guess, just never figured the 7mm rum as a bench caliber. if you say so and its a custom bench gun then i can believe 1 inch groups at 300 yards if thats the case you should be shooting way less than that at 100 yards like less than a half MOA thats, but then again there could many variables in the mix so what ever it worth sorry to upset ya. if you dont mind me asking whats a standard bench gun??? thats like saying because my hunting rifle has a trigger job its not a standard hunting rifle. so does your sendero have trigger job, what im getting at is what are you doing? is it still on the sendero stock? or is in a 20 lbs bench rest stock does still have a $6 remngton barrel or does it have a $400 kreiger barrel. I want to know what all you got in your not so standard bench gun??
