I don't think it will make much difference if you have a good blind. With that said I just bought a camo gun. An had to have the scope and scope rings match. But I think the wind and your blind are more important.

I'll also add this
, if you want a pretty and removable camo job on your gun, buy a good ACE bandage the self stick type, can come in tan or white(snow)
and you can wrap and then paint yourself to what ever colors that make you happy

when your done , it can come off as fast as you can unwrap it

JUST remember if you hunt in the rain or gets soaking wet, it will hold moisture

but its a fast simple way to add camo to a gun and be able to remove at will
