Question for ya corey; Just how do you get 75lbs out of a 70 lbs SQ2?
Mathews usually bottom out at or very near listed peak weight.
MQ1 @ 70 lbs
30" draw
27.5" ACC
Muzzy 125 gr. 3 blade

I shoot a Champion Stratus at 67 lbs.
31 inch Easton Carbonaeros @ 251 fps
125 gr Thunderheads
I think that should be good moose medicine if I hit the right spot.
My broadheads are flying good after a little bow tweaking and finding the right arrow broadhead combination. It's amazing how one broadhead won't fly well on one arrow but does on another. Now I just have to keep them from getting mixed up.

nub,
My SQ2 is over-timed a little, giving it an extra 4-5 pounds of draw weight I have tested it on 3 different scales one read 75, on #2 it read 76, and on #3 it read 77 lbs. I do not think that having a couple of extra twists in the cable has hurt anything but I have wondered if it could damage the bow?? It shoots bullet holes and the broadheads fly really nice. It is also pretty quiet thanks to the 500 gr arrows. I like the extra poundage to squeak out as much fps as possible with my short draw. I really envy guys with 30 inch draw lengths!!!
Maybe I will email Mathews and ask them if is OK for it to pull 75-76 lbs.

corey: What does your A to A and brace height measure at that poundage? I think shooting 500 gr. arrows should absorb some of that extra force. Don't know if I'd email Mathews and tell them its at 75 lbs tho. The bow was built to go 70, if your tweeking it beyond that, lots of things could happen. Most of them are bad.

It measures 31.5 ATA and 8.5 BH. I think that it has always been 31.5 even when it was at 70 lbs.???
I won't change anything now(I can shoot 5 inch groups at 50 yards with broadheads). But since I have gone to fixed blades I can probably go back down to 70 lbs after this hunting season.

Hoyt Grand Slam
75 lbs Draw
30" Draw length
125 Grain 4 Blade Hoyt Broad heads
2213 Aluminum arrows.
But Doesn't look like I'll Be doing much Moose hunting with the Bow this year, one of my Hunting partners has to work, and I only have weekends available, we need 3 Tags, so that only leaves us with 2 guys <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>
I'll Be out for the Rifle Hunt though, for that I have a .270 Rem 700 Bdl, With 150 Grain Bullets, and a 1.5-6 Var Elite 4000 Scope. It isn't the BIggest Equip for Moose...but It brought down My Bull Last year with 2 well place shots, He didn't even make it to the edge of the swamp <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
