I know, I went through this grap trying to buy a scope and then when I requested a catalogue from Cabela's they said they could no longer send it because I couldn't buy anything out of it anyway.
What a heap of BS.

This all started with Canada and the US acceding to the Treaty of the Americas a couple of years ago, and got ridiculous after 9/11. You can still send stuff across the border, but the exporter needs an export permit from the US gov't which is a lengthy procedure, and the Canadian needs an Import permit (which is a simpler - though annoying - procedure).
Post 9/11, you can't go to the US and buy a gun anymore either.
I wonder what it would be like if the US didn't elect a "pro-gun" president?

Got a Cabellas cat in the mail about a month ago and ordered a fitting for my propane tank set up. Wasn't any problem, but I noticed that it was shipped to me from someplace in Ontario?

I just received some boots and clothing from cabella's a couple of weeks ago and there were no problems.Shooting supplys of any kind are a totally different matter.I am still getting deliveries of shooting supplies from companies such as midway if the value of each shipment is under $100US.
