he will probally score 350" is my guess and the guides at the lodge figured about the same we got lucky in the right spot at the right time.

Question: We are leaving Friday for Kisk. Does anyone have any idea whether we will need snowmobiles? Also, it appears that the herd is moving pretty far south already, any thoughts about how the hunting might be on Dec. 1,2, And 3?

You may need snowmobiles but you could probably hunt without them, and they're always there for rental if your in a spot.Definantly bring jet sleds/tobogans, snowshoes and polesfor pulling out animals. The main heard will be 150-200km south of your lodge but hunting should be good. Kisk is a great location for the opening weeks when the herd are up at the end of the road but then lots of driving once they pass.

Leaving Mirage tomorrow morning. Started hunting Sunday. Last two guys in our group filled second tags this morning. Hunt is reminiscent of two years ago. Most animals went through early although we picked up stragglers, baldy bulls and yes we reduced ourselves to shooting a few cows. Saw mostlysmall groups of 3-5 animals. There is another large heardjust moving south. The lead animals started crossing the Transtaiga Road at about km 550. Oh well, that's why they call it hunting. Now the 1400 mile trip home.

Well any more reports out there? Out of curiosity, how much was fuel at Mirage this year.

Paid 1.47 L at Mirage for diesel. Prices are going up but not as much as was first thought. There is a new price structure that includes tax in the price. Also a new combination hunt. Maybe one more year.

I have been concerned about what next years prices were going to be. Mirage rolled over the reservation I had for this year to 09. Then hearing of the sale and price increases I was getting uneasy. Do you know anything about the combo hunt?
