Your too late for the hunter sight in days at the Barrie Gun Club, but try the Oshawa Skeet and Gun Club, they may be having their hunter sight in days this weekend.
I don' t have the weblink anymore so try doing a search. Otherwise try Gagnon Sports in Oshawa. They are affiliated with the club and may have a link at

First of all It is good that you are concerned enough about how your gun is shooting to want to get out and shoot a few rounds before actually hunting with it. If more hunters would at least do this there would be less game wounded and lost.
I have a memership to a great shooting range. I go there several times a year to check scope allignment and test new ammunition. I go there to PRACTISE shooting and to have fun. I take my kids to shoot and I shoot with some friends. It all makes me a more confident and better shooter. As a result it makes me a more successful hunter.

Had one other thought on this....... Try Camp Bordon in Angus (just west of Barrie). They may have public shooting times on the weekend. They are a member of the Ontario Rifle Association or something like that. Sorry I don' t have that link either.

I asked this question at another forum and was told the Silverdale Gun Club in the Niagara Pennisula is a great place to go. Haven' t been just yet, but I' m going soon. It' s open on weekends to non-members.
