Default RE: Would you let him fill your doe tag?

we had a problem like that once we had a guy that never drew a doe tag for the area we rifle hunt in .. he always drew a tag for the area he bow hunted in untill one year i caught him he drew a doe tag for the area he bow hunted in .it was the first year that the doe draw for his area was filled in first choice aplicants .hence he never aplied for the area we rifle hunt in . we could not prove it so you know what we do now .... tags are added in the price of the hunt . our captain uses his visa and buys all our lic. it works great ps the first year we did it he drew a doe tag... i filled it .....

Otis,

I did rephrase my first post because it was more inflammatory than what you see. I really didn' t mean it to be so, but was just trying to present a different set of circumstances.

Last year, one of our guys wasn' t sure he was coming hunting until the week before. He' s a logger and is usually busy at the time. He could have applied to the lottery but didn' t want to spend the money if he wasn' t going to be there. None of us minded that this is what happened. Again, among 10 of us we only got 4 deer and he never got a shot.

Your opinions seem perfectly fine to me and I would have to admit that I would be pissed too if someone just couldn' t be bothered.

Everyone gave good arguments but I tend to lean towards Otis. In our camp if it happens, you had better have a real damn good excuse.
