Default Pelee Island Pheasants

Anyone ever hunt Pelee Island pheasants.
My son and I bought licenses for the 2009 first hunt on Oct 22 & 23.
Sounds like a good hunt with lots of birds.
Can anyone let me know how you made out?

Its an excellent time have been going fro over twenty years. Usually we like the later hunts fewer crops. A good dog is invaluable. Greta time enjoy

Thanks for the info pelford, I thought that maybe no one ever hunted there, no replies..lol
We are excited about going, have talked to different guys that have been and everyone says they had a blast, just 2 weeks to go.
We are taking our 2 Brittany's, we always have a good time with the dogs, 2 other friends are joining us and bringing a pup they bought from us, so I am excited to see the pup work.
They have had the pup on pheasants and he is pointing and holding well and been subjected to gun fire so we will see how he does.

Just got back from the Pelee Island pheasant hunt, all I can say is fantastic hunt!
Birds were everywhere first day, second day took good dogs to get you birds.
Even had the birds cleaned and quartered and are now in the freezer.
Already planing for next year, good time had by all.
