Red wings took a dump

hehe on the redwings with all their old - future hall of famers down in flames to the DUCKS. To bad for cujo, stevie Y, hull and few others. Coaching was the downfall and maybe looking past the lowly ducks is to blame as well. The ducks had great goaltending, played as a team with defense being utmost important and did all they had to in the offensive side. They deserved the series imo.
The best series is the black and blue series with Toronto and Philly. The action, hits, tending and overtimes alone have made it the games to watch. Belfour is still one of my favorites!!! I used to be a hard core hawk fan. Back when JR and Belfour were teammates. Now I can' t stand the organization...BOOOOOOO!!!
I think the devils are tough, but very boring to watch! I wouldn' t count out the senators...they are due for good things to happen. Deep down I am cheering for them to make it to the cup, just b/c they have had a great record the past 3 seasons but couldn' t put it together in the playoffs. I like to see some of the other teams in the finals and little change up. It would be nice to see the smaller market/salaried clubs do something. Really hate teams that go out and buy the cup at the trade deadline. IMO that has been the downfall in the game as of late, to much is made of who and how much. No more team play, individuals getting glory or blame. When I played hockey at the major junior level in canada we had stars but the old saying: " NO I, in team" was always preached & felt. Then it seemed talent, work ethic, solid team play and continuity was what put the label of a great team and won championships. Look at the great teams in the NHL history, most were a match of solid goaltending, talent and loads of heart and work ethic. You win as a team and you lose as a team. Not this whining millionaire' s we are breeding today, that shift blame, etc. Not to harp but it is good to see some of those old mentality teams winning and moving on in this years playoff race. I have now not a team favorite in the NHL, but rather like certain players on many teams and I cheer for the team that in fact is a team!
So in the east their is a number that would fit the bill and still playing. In the west really only Edmonton & Vancouver fit the bill. Well the ducks too, but common
However I do love Joe Sakic, so hard not to root for him. Joe, Mike Madano, Stevie Y are the type of player that I like and IMO are the class of the league. These guys play hard, are very talented and play hurt....they are millionaires but are not to be grouped into the same whining bunch like Eric Lindros, etc...been with their original teams through good and bad. Never is their a concern about their effort, ethic, leadership or what they bring to a team. Most of all they believe in the team and " NO I" .
Anyhew enough of my rant. I can' t wait for tomorrow and see TO & Philly knock the can off each other. My only thought is the last team standing at the end of this series maybe in in tough for the next round, but that' s what playoff hockey should be like.

I don' t think it was the coaching because Scotty is still there! I agree Joseph is a good netminder but he blew it on some of these goals against the Ducks! That is what saved the Ducks , is Goaltending! Maybee next year! Go Bucks! haha

Owen Nolan? I' d' a loved him coming to Detroit. That was the best trade of the deadline. The Schneider trade was good.....the Nolan trade was better.
Looks like the Leafs are gonna need some overtime to push a game 6. Let' s go Leafs!!
Hey! Minnesaota just scored on Roy!
Dan O.,
I used to like the Habs in the 70' s.....they way they dominated the game with their skating and passing was pretty awesome.
