Default Ontario Deer Hunting

I'm heading up to Ontario for my first Canadian deer hunt this year. We are going to be in the Stratton area. Can anyone tell me anything about this area and what the hunting is like and what to possibly expect? We will be there hunting Nov. 3-9.

Thanks all!

Stratton is down on the US border between Emo and Rainy River. I know of a number of guys who hunt in the Nestor Falls and Souix Narrows area. They have had great success. I am going for the first time this year to Vermillion Bay.

Good luck on your hunt. I am sure you will enjoy it.

I have never hunted the area, but do get sent up for work and take the odd drive around in the rental cal, I see lots of deer. One time I was looking out the window of my motel room and saw a fine 8pt eating the operators flowers, and don't forget about the Dryden buck, it was poached, but a very impressive deer none the less.
