Got skunked on my Bull tag up in WMU17 on the opening week(Ontario), but have a week off for a controlled huntin an area that I'm tagged out for. When life gives you lemons make lemonaid - I'm driving back up with a buddy to try to fillmy moose tag.
Seasons open till Dec 15 and he owns a mini-school bus all decked out for hunting out of, even better, hes a trucker that saysI can sleep thewhole way up andwe'll be there when I wake up!
I just hope the kerosene heater will cut the mustard because he had to pull out the woodstove to make room for my bunk.
Wish me luck

Sorry to pull this back to the top but I wanted to give you guys an update: Nothing!
Couldn't even find a hot track. We hunted a "no motorized vehicle area" that I had a bull tag for and walked, and walked, and walked. Two days in a logger came into the bus for a beer and asked why we would ever come to this area, great to hear after driving 18hrs[:@]. He let us know that a few days earlier a cow and two calfs had been seen in another unit 30km south so we packed up and moved hoping to take a calf, better tracks but never saw a moose, not even on the drive up or back. Guess thats hunting, just have to apply for another area next year.
On a bright note we ate like kings, didn't hear a phone or pager go off for a whole week, found some big cat tracks (weird to see in/on 4' of snow), and found out that a diesel school bus will do 50km on 2 gallons of kerosene
