RE: Kids hunting in canada
I would imagine that every province is a little different. As for Manitoba, you must be at least 12 years of age to hunt and have passed the Manitoba Hunter Safety Course or equivalent. Try this addy also if you want more info.

In Ontario a child must be 12 years old and have taken a hunter safety course but he will still have to ba accompanied by an adult licensed hunter and will be filling the adults tag. One rifle only for child and adult. When they are 16 and have taken a hunter safety course then they have full hunting rights. So if your child has a safety course you could probably have him sit with you and fill one of your 2 bear tags ( residents can buy 2 tags, not sure about npn-residents ).

In B.C a child can get a immatition licence(some fancy name not sure what it is though...) at the age of 10 and they can start hunting there but they use their erents quota like if they shoot a deer the dad has to use his tag so insted of gettting say 3 deer that year he can only get 2 and same goes for all game i think not totlly sure boout that all game though but ya
