Default Hunting in Canada ( BC )

A buddy of mine moved to British Columbia a few years ago and has invited me up to visit. He is not a hunter , but if I go I will be hunting. SO my question is : what type of Game is in that area ? Is my 30 06 enough to take the game uo there and when are the different seasons so I can plan my trip. I always see a few guys from Canada in here so I'd appricite the help ey !

Your 30-06 should be fine, depending on what part you are hunting I beleive they have blacktail deer, mulies, bear, and whitetails also. I think but I wouldn't swear to it.

The 30-06 should be fine. The others have pretty muched listed most of the game. Have fun its a beautiful place.

I lived in Seattle a couple of years, and went after elk, muleys, and blacktail in the Cascades. Im sure they have those and more in BC.
Im no expert on the larger game, but I think 30-06 with the right load should be ok for elk at limited ranges.

I lived near Golden, B.C for 5 yrs a few years back and if your friend is not an outfitter, than you as an American cannot legally hunt there unless you hire one.

My uncle owns a .30-06. Many of my friends have downed elk & black bear with a .30-06. I downed my 5 point this year with a .30-06. It should be find.... Dont Quote me!!!
(99.6% positive it should be fine)

thanks for the info ey ! I'll make sure of all the regs before I go ....maybe I'll get that 7mm mag I've had my eye on .....justify it with the trip to Canada
