I called Nikon to get the info on the new Monarch 3. They said they have discontinued he Monarch and only make the Monarch 3 now. They are all the same except the turrets and lens cap. The flip covers now open more than 180 degrees and the optional spot on turrets don't fit the new scope. They are getting new turrets called XRT and will available on I think 3 of the longer range scopes in mid July. They said something about a voucher for the turrets coming with certain scopes that will bring the cost from 100 to 50 for each if I remember correctly. The scopes they said are optically the same. Hope this helps others looking at them.
