Default scope for 338WM

i have a 338WM ordered and need to figure out which scope. i am trying to setup to be able to do effective long range shooting on elk say out to 400 or slightly longer. i like the idea of the nikon bdc reticle but wouldn't mind spending more if in fact i am getting better quality.

Make sure you go with a top of the line one when you make your decision because the 338 rifle will probably need more than a mediocre priced one on it.

+1

Take a hard look at all the features you "want" in a scope; but make sure to get a lifetime warranty ~ buy it once !

+1. I'd be looking at Nightforce, Leica or Swarovski.

I would go with a Leupold 4.5-14x40 BC. Good luck.
