Bushnell ARC 1000 and Slug Guns
I'm pretty sure that Santa is bringing me a Bushnell ARC 1000 for Christmas.
I'm hoping to use the ballistic setting on the rifle mode. The ballistics for my 220F SS with Accutips 3" is: +2.5 at 100, ~0 at 150, ~-9 at 200
The Accutips are .45 1900 fps (likely slower) 260 grain
Looking at the manual and the ballistic chart for muzzle loader using PowerBelt's chart (the folks Bushnell used). My ballistics look very similar to the .45 275 grain copper clad 100 grain, group "J"
Bushnell does not have a group for Sabot slugs. Probably too much variation.
I know the right answer is to go to the range, and I will, but I was wondering if anyone else has tried this combo, and what kind of results did you get?
Otherwise I'm going to use the range finder in use your own head mode. :-)
Thoughts?
