Default problems w/ leupold rings

i have a model 7 cdl and went to put a vxII 1-4x20 on it and had a set of super low bases. problem is the bolt handl;e hits the bell. anyone ever have this problem? now i gotta go back and exchange them for std. low bases

Your problem is not unique. Now you've seen first hand why 60 degree bolt throws are made and liked.

Either choose taller rings to allow some clearance or re-scope with a smaller scope bell size. +1 Skeeter 7MM comments.

i am headed to get a set of low rings tomarrow. .650". should give me enough clearance. a smaller bell would be dificult to find. i have about the smallest available
