I think it is German? I'm considering bidding on a scope that is a Bushnell, but there is not much information on the scope except it is a 3x9x40. On the box I can read:
Lunette De Tir
Zielfernrohr
Mira Para Rifle
Lunette De Tir
Zielfernrohr
Mira Para Rifle

I think the three separate lines are repeating the same information in three different languages. The upper line is French and translates roughly as "telescopic sight." My guess is the second line is German and translates roughly as "telescopic sight." My guess is the third line is Spanish and translates roughly as "telescopic sight." In French, "lunette" is glasses, like eyeglasses, and "tir" is a noun meaning shooting. The connecting word "de" is a preposition used in this context to link a noun with a functional word ("tir" shooting -- shooting glass).
